Egypt 5 lets Dakars onto the route of the bumpy stretch. Cars risk falling off the Valley of the Kings, which is now barrierless.
AI opponents mess up terribly on the Lap 1 bumpy stretch, so players can quickly gain ground if they control their car well. A false turn at the long barrierless stretch may result in an Out. All cars will scale uphill on the S-turn, instead of taking the two U-turns.
Early in the lap, there is a shortcut available to bypass half of the bumpy stretch. The barrier blocking this shortcut can be jumped over with enough speed, however, the jump must be executed precisely. Watch the provided video for a visual demonstration.
All opponents drive at maximum speed in Lap 1. HomeTrackers become exceedingly slow in Lap 3, allowing AI Morgen to take over.
