AI opponents mess up terribly on the Lap 1 bumpy stretch, so if the player controls the car well, they can quickly gain ground. The barriers on the long stretch have been removed, so a false turn may result in an Out. The barriers on the S-turn are also gone, so all cars will scale uphill instead of taking the two U-turns.
