Easter Island 5 is the fifth level of the Easter Island track featuring the Dakar. It is raced in the same direction as the preceding level under clear skies. A new route is opened at the midway point of the track, guiding racers up a steep-sloped volcano with intricate twists and turns, including a section surrounded by molten lava.
This race is also available in Split-Screen mode, where it is referred to as Easter Island B and contains only two laps instead of three.

Race[]
Despite the introduction of the new volcano, Easter Island 5 presents a slower-paced race in contrast to the intensity of Easter Island 4. AI opponents drive at slower speeds throughout most of the race, allowing the player to overtake them more easily. The only substantial display of strength by any opponent occurs during Lap 1, when AI Morgen attempts to surpass as many cars as possible. AI Baptiste and Ahmed remain steady contenders due to their favorable starting positions, often finishing in the top three.
Navigating the expansive volcano can be tricky for those new to the level. While the lava section is safely barricaded, the three-mile path presents numerous twists and turns that can complicate overtaking AI opponents. Speeding through these twists carries the risk of losing control, and collisions with walls can result in major crashes that demand substantial time for recovery. The player is advised to drive slowly within the volcano, and capitalize on opportunities to overtake opponents on other segments of the track.
In addition to the volcano, the absence of the right-side barriers, initially positioned before the closed-off tunnel, opens the possibility of cars veering off into the water. However, as this stretch follows a straight line, the risk of the player plunging Out is minimal. Preceding the new volcano is a small suspension bridge traversing water, and a similar bridge awaits within the volcano itself, spanning the lava. Following the volcano is a one-mile stretch of straight road, allowing the player to speed and gain ground before rejoining the main track.
